The Salsa Lip-Lock Seat Collar is a beautiful bit of machined aluminum that happens to also provide outstanding clamping performance. Lightweight aluminum is carefully machined to reduce weight where possible while maintaining excellent structural integrity, and that aluminum is anodized and laser etched so this part will retain its great looks for a long time. More importantly, Salsa engineered this part to deliver outstanding clamping force around a seatpost without having to apply a bunch of torque, so this seat clamp is a great upgrade for securing lightweight seatposts within the frame. Finally, this clamp is available in a wide assortment of clamp diameters so there is a version of this clamp for the majority of bicycles that use a round seatpost.
