Specialized Stumpjumper 15 EVO Comp Description:
The Specialized Stumpjumper 15 EVO Comp possesses a capable dual-suspension design, custom-tuned and expertly constructed with the aim of providing a capable ride that conquers big bumps and rapid descents with short-travel control, playfulness, and efficiency. The Stumpjumper 15 EVO is built on the GENIE suspension platform, designed and tuned by Specialized’s Ride Dynamics team to instill the “best of both worlds,” providing a ride feel similar to that of a coil spring, with better bottom-out prevention than standard air springs and a tunable platform that inspires a playful feel. Genie works to control linear spring rates through the “bump-zone” with the progressive spring rate of an air spring at the end of the stroke that prevents bottom-outs. Genie also grants riders’ wishes for more traction, delivering 57% better traction than standard air-sprung shocks with supple, coil-like performance that keeps wheels in contact with the grant a higher percentage than bikes with typical air springs.
Stumpjumper 15 EVO geometry delivers capability that rivals big-travel bikes with a nimble feel in tight sections, and efficient behavior when climbing, along with a cockpit that centers riders on the bike, optimizing traction and control. A low bottom bracket, slack head tube angle, and optimized fork offset keep things stable in rough conditions. What’s best about Stumpjumper 15 EVO Comp is that the finer points are entirely up to you, with six distinct geometry settings that allow you to hone performance regardless of your style or your choice of terrain. The ability to run a dual-size 29″ wheel configuration or a mixed 27.5/29″ wheel combination with the help of an aftermarket shock link furthers riders’ ability to make Stumpjumper 15 Evo their own.
A lightweight FACT 11m carbon chassis and rear-end imbue Stumpjumper 15 EVO with lightweight, compliant efficiency with legendary durability, meant to take whatever the trail throws at it. Stumpjumper 15 EVO frames allow for the integration of the ever-valuable SWAT 4.0 downtube storage compartment, an internal storage hold that grants access with easy operation in a smooth, flush-mounted system hidden away beneath bottle cages. Drivetrain efficiency and durability are furnished by a SRAM T-Type Transmission 1 x 12 electronic wireless drivetrain, defined by the reliable and capable shifting performance of a SRAM S1000 direct mount rear derailleur through a SRAM 1270 10-52T transmission cassette. Braking power through furious descents and on the tail end of big hits is provided by SRAM Maven Bronze 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes.
Note: Stumpjumper 15 Evo is only compatible with electronic drivetrains only
