The Specialized Epic 8 Evo Expert is a carefully crafted machine that is ready to help a rider achieve new levels of speed and confidence on the trails. Specialized tweaked the Epic 8 EVO’s pivot locations and rear swingarm design to reduce pedal induced bobbing, resulting in a very stable platform that is insanely efficient when sprinting and in the climbs. Taking this refined performance up another notch, the Fox Float Performance Elite rear shock needs less effort to get moving so it eats up rough terrain especially when the trail inevitably points downhill. 120mm of rear travel provides enough travel to keep Epic 8 EVO ready for whatever trail you have to throw at it, and is accompanied by a 130mm travel Fox 34 SL Performance Elite fork, with both receiving a custom tune from Specialized’s Ride Dynamics suspension team for out-of-the-box suspension that takes full advantage of Epic 8 EVO’s efficiency and ride kinematics.

Tucked within the light, stiff, and strong FACT 11M carbon fiber frame is an expansive SWAT 4.0 internal downtube frame compartment, which is placed low in the frame so the weight of anything put inside of the compartment will lower the bikes center of gravity for more stability and better cornering, and everything can be easily accessed through a convenient latch-operated door. Shifting duties are handled by Shimano’s outstanding Deore XT Di2 1 x 12 electronic groupset, and reliable and powerful braking is provided by Deore XT hydraulic disc brakes that simply perform whenever they are called upon. Rounding out the build sheet on the Specialized Epic 8 Evo Expert is light and tough Roval Control SL V carbon wheels, a dropper seatpost, and an assortment of Specialized cockpit components that keep this bike light and ready for anything from racing on the weekends to having a great day on the trails with family and friends.
