The versatile and high performance Salsa Timberjack XT 29 Hardtail Mountain Bike will give a rider everything they need to have a great day on the trails. An aluminum alloy frame utilizes highly manipulated tube sizes and shapes to produce a remarkably lightweight and strong frame, and the rear of this frame has adjustable Alternator 2.0 drop outs and generous tire clearance to make it possible to fine tune the drivetrain, wheels, and handling of the bike to suit a riders needs and preferences. This frame is also adorned with numerous accessory mounts so the rider can haul their gear without needing to rock a backpack or hip pack. Up front, a RockShox 35 Gold RL fork with 130mm of travel has a stiff chassis for pin-point steering precision and the tunability and performance to keep the front of the bike planted over rough terrain, while a Shimano 1×12 speed drivetrain with a Deore XT rear derailleur delivers precision shifting; when a speed correction or a stop needs to be made, this bike is equipped with easily modulated and powerful 4-piston Shimano hydraulic brakes to ensure braking is done without drama. Finally, a dropper seatpost topped with a WTB saddle and a stout WTB/Shimano wheelset shod with grippy 2.6″ wide Maxxis tubeless ready tires ensures the rider is comfortable and in maximum control of the bike no matter what the trail is throwing at them.
