Salsa Flyway C Apex Eagle AXS Gravel Bike Description:

The Salsa Flyway C Apex Eagle AXS is a versatile, all-purpose gravel bike that can line up on race-day and is capable and durable enough to take on more adventurous rides. Interior Junction Control Mold Technology is used in the construction of the bike to provide better compaction between the high-modulus carbon fibers, resulting in a lighter and stronger frame; this combination of materials and manufacturing process also has excellent lateral stiffness for better pedaling efficiency and reduces how much buzz is transmitted through the bike so a rider will experience less fatigue through the ride. A progressive geometry with a long reach, a short stem, low bottom bracket height, and slacker head tube angle maximize stability and confidence, while a steep seat tube angle puts the rider in a powerful position over the pedals. Short, symmetrical dropped chainstays create more chainring and tire clearance while tucking the rear wheel under the rider for better traction and more nimble handling. Adding to the Flyway’s versatility, numerous accessory mounts are sprinkled all over the frame to allow the rider to carry all of the gear and hydration they need for any length ride.

Flyway C is equipped with a carbon fiber fork featuring internal brake hose routing, Salsa Down Under Front Rack compatibility, fender mounts, and a 12 x 100mm thru-axle that improves torsional stiffness for precise handling. Reliable shifting is provided courtesy of a SRAM Apex/Eagle AXS 1 x 12-speed electronic drivetrain that provides very precise and lightning quick shifts even when under heavy pedaling loads, and consistent all-condition braking power is delivered by SRAM Apex HRD hydraulic disc brakes and 160mm rotors. Rugged WTB wheels are wrapped in smooth rolling Teravail Updraft 700 x 45mm tires produce a fast and versatile combo that can be confidently taken beyond where the pavement ends. Completing the build are Teravail Feldspar carbon handlebars, Radia Stem, Stratum Carbon seatpost, and a WTB Gravelier saddle, all of which complement the durable and versatile nature of the rest of the bike and ensures the rider has everything they need for any grand adventure.
