Magura Gustav Pro Hydraulic Disc Brake Description:

The Magura Gustav Pro Hydraulic Disc Brake was born out of extensive collaboration and development with professional athletes and riders, and the result is a powerful and easy to modulate brake that can slow down powerful e-bikes and gravity focused rides with ease. A sleek, flippable, and highly adjustable Carbotecture composite brake lever assembly houses an oversized piston, large fluid reservoir, screwed brake lever pivot, and a brake lever shape developed with input from Loic Bruni for a sleek appearance and outstanding ergonomics. At the wheels, a stiff one-piece forged aluminum 4 piston has a circumferential oil channel, large 19mm pistons, and extra clearance for thick disc rotors all combine for easier maintenance, excellent modulation, superb power, and a lot less brake rub. Connecting the caliper to the master cylinder is a reinforced hose with EASY LINK quick connect fittings that make the installation of these brakes a breeze even on bikes with internal cable routing. The finishing touches on these robust, but surprisingly light, brakes are an easily replaceable brake lever with a predetermined breaking point (to save the rest of the system in the event of an accident) and extra thick brake pads that all combine to extend the service intervals so a rider will have more fun times on the trail and less time in the shop maintaining the brakes.

• 19mm caliper pistons and the large master cylinder piston combine to reduce oil pressure inside the brake line for a clear definition of the pressure point and excellent modulation
• Flip flop lever design enables use as either a front or rear brake
• Integrated Shiftmix compatibility within the handlebar clamp allows you to mount SRAM and Shimano shifters directly to the brake lever, saving handlebar space for dropper post remotes, longer grips, and other accessories
