DT Swiss Ratchet LN Steel Freehub Upgrade Kit Description:

This DT Swiss Ratchet LN Steel Freehub Upgrade Kit converts the 370 series rear hubs and select DT Swiss rear wheels equipped with a 3-pawl freehub driving mechanism to the beloved DT Swiss Ratchet drive system. This upgrade will produce a very positive engagement within the drive mechanism and improve the durability, especially if the hub is going to be installed on a heavy bike (such as a cargo bike or a tandem), used by a powerful rider that quickly wears out inexpensive hubs, and/or used on an e-bike.

Features:

• Converts 3-pawl DT Swiss hubs so they use DT Swiss’s robust and quick engaging star ratchet freehub drive mechanism
• 18T Rachet provides more robust engagement due to the thick teeth on the ratchet rings, which is well suited to hold up to the torque produced by powerful riders and e-bikes
• Fits any SRAM XD-style MTB cassette, and can fit an XDR gravel or road cassette with a 1.85mm spacer (spacer sold separately)
• Requires DT Swiss 3-pawl and Star Ratchet tools for installation
