Fox Suspension DHX Factory Coil Rear Shock Description:
The Fox Suspension DHX Factory Coil Rear Shock borrows key design elements from Fox’s gravity lineup of rear shocks to bring silky smooth coil spring suspension performance to lighter weight trail and all-mountain full suspension bikes. Increased oil volume, larger diameter and stiffer construction, ultra-low friction internals, and plenty of adjustability all combine to keep the rear wheel planted and tracking freely when crashing through the rough stuff. With the quick flick of a lever the independent firm mode circuit can toggled to optimize the suspension performance depending on what the trail calls for; firm mode for lung searing uphill sections or open mode for optimal performance for slaying the downhill sections. With intuitive tuning and the ability to easily swap between different weight springs, it is easier than ever to bring out the full potential of your full suspension rig.
Note: The shock mounting hardware and the coil spring are sold separately.
Features:
- Black anodized finish provides weather resistant, long lasting good looks and a slick chrome finish on the shaft eliminates friction and ensures very smooth performance
- Piggyback reservoir is optimized for each shock size, has increased oil volume, and adds a secondary compression circuit resulting in better small bump sensitivity, enhanced traction, and fade-free descending performance
- High flow main piston improves shock response times and minimizes oil aeration for more consistent performance
- Hydraulic top out feature reduces the “clunk” sometimes heard when the shock tops out at the end of the rebound stroke
- Ultra-low friction internals offers impressive small bump sensitivity for a very responsive shock especially over rapidly changing terrain
- Spring preload collar has indents with a max/min number of clicks and a direction arrow clearly shown
- Full diameter spring retainer with a wire ring and a spring scuff guard on the body use a similar design as the DHX2 line of shocks for improved reliability and a more positive interface with the spring coils
- Independent firm mode circuit with a 2-position lever adjusts the performance for the terrain and rider preference, firm mode for more efficient climbing or open mode for better downhill/all-around performance
- Easy to grip external dial offers the following adjustability:
- 12 position low-speed compression
- 16 position low-speed rebound
