DT Swiss X-12 RWS Thru-Axle Description:

The DT Swiss X-12 RWS Thru-Axle is a lightweight thru axle system that will quickly secure a wheel within the bike. Full alloy construction produces a stiff and strong thru axle that is also quite light, and the lever has a ratcheting design that easily clamps the wheel within the bike. Best of all, the ratcheting design can be quickly adjusted so it is in a better position for applying torque, and when the wheel is clamped down the lever can be rotated into an appealing orientation without affecting the clamping torque.

• Thru axle uses a ratcheting system instead of a cam-style system to easily secure a wheel within a frame
• Alloy construction for the axle and lever reduces weight while improving durability, stiffness, and strength
• Ratcheting lever design can be independently positioned for better leverage and torque as well as for setting the final position of the lever for appealing aesthetics
• X-12 version has a standardized axle dimension, a conical washer shape, and thread pitch that is specific to Syntace’s X-12 thru-axle system and frame interface
• Ratcheting lever is designed to stay attached to the axle (unlike the DT Swiss RWS Plug-In Thru Axles), but this lever can be replaced with part number HWYXXX00S2922S if it becomes damaged
