DT Swiss Ratchet LN Aluminum Freehub Upgrade Kit Description:

This DT Swiss Ratchet LN Aluminum Freehub Upgrade Kit converts the 370 series rear hubs and select DT Swiss rear wheels equipped with a 3-pawl freehub driving mechanism to the beloved DT Swiss Ratchet drive system. This upgrade will produce a 10° engagement within the drive mechanism due to having double the contact points than what is typically found in a 3-pawl hub or even an 18t ratchet drive; this faster engagement will enable a rider to more easily position the pedals when cranking uphill and taking on technical sections of the trail. Best of all, this drive mechanism produces minimal pedal kickback, will maintain excellent durability, and require little maintenance to keep the good times rolling.

Note: Freehub IS NOT compatible with 11 or 12-speed Shimano HG road cassettes.

• Converts 3-pawl DT Swiss hubs so they use DT Swiss’s robust and quick engaging star ratchet freehub drive mechanism
• 36T start rachet rings produces 10° engagement, which is twice as fast as the typical engagement found in 3 pawl or 18t ratchet drive freehubs, and provides a great balance between having a durable, long lasting hub with low maintenance and having a fast enough engagement to tackle tough trail sections
• Freehub accepts all 8-10 speed Shimano HG cassettes and 11-speed Shimano HG mountain bike cassettes
• Requires DT Swiss 3-pawl and Star Ratchet tools for installation
