Cane Creek HCR Headset Description:

The Cane Creek HCR Headset is a headset system that will make installing and maintaining internally routed cables on a bike much easier. Machined aluminum bearing cups, durable and smooth Hellbender bearings, and aggressive sealing throughout combine to produce a headset that keeps the bad stuff out of the bicycle and ensure a very smooth and long lasting headset. The interlocking cable seal allows the cables and brake hose for any drivetrain and brake combination to pass through. While this headset is designed to be an integral part of Cane Creeks HCR stem, headset spacer, and headset system, the included aluminum conversion spacer allows this headset to be used with any handlebar and stem combination, ensuring an easy to set up headset that delivers the clean look of internal routing without the downsides often associated with it.

• Fully sealed headset designed to make it easier to install and maintain internally routed cables on a bike
• Premium Hellbender stainless steel bearings use bearings with very tight roundness tolerances, low friction seals, and hardened races to produce ultra-smooth movement, require very little maintenance, and have exceptional durability
• Interlocking seals around the cable ports, a snuggly fitting steerer tube seal, low friction bearing lip seals, and a robust dual-lipped seal on the crown race prevent moisture and contaminates from getting into the headset and frame
• Machined 6061-T6 aluminum is used on versions with external bearing cups for rugged dependability and light weight
• Cable housing/hydraulic hose ports are optimized for use with wireless drivetrains but still is compatible with mechanical drivetrains
• Designed to be used with HCR stem and aluminum headset spacers (sold separately), and includes a flat topped “conversion” headset spacer so this headset can be used with other stem and handlebar combos, including carbon fiber one-piece cockpits
