The Zipp 101 XPLR MOTO utilizes a unique single wall rim construction that is very rugged and has excellent compliance for all-day rider comfort, and this construction results in an exposed spoke nipple head within the rim channel which traditionally very difficult to seal everything up for use with tubeless tires. The Zipp 101 XPLR MOTO Rim Strip/Tubeless Tape Kit contains a rim strip that covers those spoke nipple heads, allowing the included tape in this kit to then be laid over everything to create a tight seal without worrying about the spokes puncturing through.
