Vittoria Air-Liner Light Road Tubeless Tire Insert Description:

Vittoria Air-Liner Light Road Tubeless Tire Insert Inserts are a very lightweight insert that will provide extra peace of mind when riding over rough and/or unknown bike routes. The unique foam construction compresses against the sidewalls of the rim and tire when the tire is inflated which improves the sidewall’s stability and prevents the tire from burping during high speed corners. The hexagonal shape of this insert will provide excellent rim protection from impacts, and it will prevent the tire from pinching together to minimize the risk of getting a pinch flat. Perhaps the best thing this insert does is if a puncture occurs, the foam will expand out and hold its shape, letting the rider carefully and safely ride on the flat tire until they can get somewhere where they can fix the flat or get a ride to safety.

Note: Sold individually, meaning each unit sold will consist of one (1) tubeless tire insert and one (1) tubeless valve.

Features:

• Lightweight tubeless tire insert that gives racers and riders peace of mind when facing rugged race courses and roads
• Ultralight construction (29 grams for 700c x 28-30mm version) limits rotational mass, adds cornering stability for the tire sidewalls, and reduces the risk of the tire bead burping/unseating from the rim
• When tire is inflated, the foam will compress so the maximum air volume can be achieved, maintaining the low rolling resistance, road grip, and smooth ride that modern, larger volume tubeless road tires are known for
• Hexagonal shape nestles more easily within the rim/tire and prevents the rims from getting damaged due to harsh impacts from broken pavement and potholes
• If a puncture occurs the insert expands and will allow the rider to ride on the flat tire/insert to get to safety (up to 30 miles or 50 km) if the flat cannot be repaired
• For ease of inflation with insert and to minimize sealant clogging the valve, it is recommended to use tubeless valves with multiple holes in the base (the part of the valve inside of the rim)
• Optimal internal rim widths for the insert:
• 700c x 28-30mm insert: 20mm to 25mm
• 700c x 22-36mm insert: 21mm to 27mm
• 700c x 38-42mm insert: 23mm to 28mm
