Specialized S-Works Tarmac SL9 Description:

The Specialized S-Works Tarmac SL9 is designed to deliver speed without any compromises. Using Flow State Design, the engineers at Specialized optimized the layup of the FACT 12r carbon fibers to deliver a stiff and very strong frame that is also remarkably light weight, coming in at only 687 grams for a size 56cm. Never resting on their laurels, Specialized reduced the size of the head tube, dropped the downtube and revised its shape, and added a Wind-Fin to the seat tube to produce a significant reduction in aerodynamic drag compared to the Tarmac SL8. Even the fork has received considerable attention, with a revised crown that matches up with the down tube, wider spacing between the legs, slightly inward twist to the fork blades, and extra cross sectional width all do their part to improve the aerodynamic efficiency of the bike. All of this wizardry adds up to a bike that will reduce the effort needed to achieve elevated rates of speed and shave off precious seconds from a race time.

Keeping with the theme of performance without compromises, this wonderful frame and fork are adorned with top shelf components. A SRAM RED E1 AXS wireless drivetrain delivers incredibly precise shifting, and a broad gear range ensures this bike can tackle anything from criteriums, fast paced lunch time rides, and flying up hilly terrain. The crankset also includes a Quarq power meter so the rider can keep track of their training progress and diagnose area’s for improvement in their power stroke. SRAM Red hydraulic disc brakes are called upon to slow the bike down, and the levers are adjustable and easily modulated so even tired hands can control the bike. Trick Roval Rapide CLX III carbon fiber wheels, complete with ARRIS composite/ti spokes and Sinc ceramic bearings, are shod in supple and grippy Cotton tubeless ready tires to provide an aerodynamic package that is very stable in cross winds, easily accelerates up to speed, and delivers incredible rider comfort over rougher roads. Completing this unbelievable bike build are an integrated Roval Rapide handlebar/stem combo, a S-Works Rapide Carbon Seatpost, and a very comfortable S-Works Power saddle w/ Mirror technology, providing the rider all the tools they need to be the fastest that they can be.
