Specialized DT Competition Race Straight-Pull Spoke Description:

The Specialized DT Competition Race Straight-Pull Spoke is a lightweight replacement spoke for several Specialized bicycles and Roval wheels. A straight pull design plus a double butted spoke profile reduces the weight of these spokes and helps to produce a smoother riding wheel. That straight pull spoke design, cold forging the stainless steel, and threads that are produced by rolling them instead of cutting them into the materail adds significant strength to these spokes and improves the fatigue resistance as well, ensuring this lightweight spoke can hold up to the rigors of road, gravel, and mountain biking.

Note: A spoke nipple is not included; this spoke requires a 14-Gauge or 2.0mm spoke nipple.

Features:

• Chrome nickel stainless steel spoke material is cold forged to have a double butted, 2.0/1.6/2.0mm profile that keeps more material at the ends for added strength and thins the spoke in the middle for lighter weight
• Rolled threads at the rim end resist stripping and help to maintain more strength where the spoke meets the nipple
• Straight pull design eliminates the j-bend found in conventional spokes to reduce the risk of breaking a spoke near the hub flange (requires a hub designed for straight pull spokes)
• 280mm spoke weighs roughly 5g each
