Specialized Crux 5 S-Works Gravel Bike Description:

The Specialized Crux 5 S-Works Gravel Bike Gravel Bike is an ultra-premium gravel bike with uncompromising comfort and performance. Specialized engineers used time in the wind tunnel with a moving leg mannequin, super computer-aided Flow State Design, and data gathered via race-day telemetry packs attached to the underside of the saddle on the team bikes used during the 2025 Unbound gravel race to optimize the frame tube shapes and the FACT 12r carbon fiber layup. The result is a frame with impressive aerodynamics, strength, and stiffness while maintaining the comfortable ride and low weight (only 789g frame weight for a 56cm) that made the 4th generation Crux a favorite with the gravel racing crowd. The product team also made subtle changes to the geometry to improve cornering performance and stability over unforgiving terrain. Additionally, the S-Works carbon fiber fork that is attached to the front of this bike has also received a more aerodynamic shape to the legs, and like the frame, the tire clearance has been boosted to accept up to 700x55mm wide (or 29″x2.2″ wide) tires.

This spectacular frameset is adorned with an assortment of go fast bits that will put the rider in the best position to rapidly get down the road and trails. SRAM’s flagship Red AXS XPLR 1×13 speed wireless electronic drivetrain delivers very crisp shifting and has a broad gear range so the rider can find a comfortable pedaling cadence over any terrain, and a Quarqpower meter is tucked into the crankset so the rider can track their training progress and race-day performance. SRAM also provides the easy to modulate and powerful Red hydraulic disc brakes which provide abundant power for confident braking over any trail and in any weather condition. Roval Terra Aero CLX carbon rims are laced with trick Roval by ARRIS carbon/titanium aero spokes to Low Flange hubs stuffed with SINC ceramic bearings, resulting in an aerodynamic and strong wheelset with minimal rolling resistance and blistering acceleration; these wheels are shod with Pathfinder tubeless tires that have a low profile tread and large volume casing to produce a very smooth ride and excellent speed over pavement and firm terrain. Last but not least, an ergonomic and featherlight Roval Terra Cockpit wrapped in Supacaz handlebar tape and a S-Works Power Saddle with Mirror technology ensures every point where the body touches the bike is comfortable, allowing the rider to focus all of their attention and energy on getting down the road and trails as fast as possible.
