Shimano SH-GE900GTX Winter Gravity MTB Shoes are designed to keep a riders feet warm and dry when they are facing cold, nasty trail conditions. A synthetic leather upper material is outfitted with a waterproof GORE-TEX membrane and a mid-height elastic ankle cuff to keep the wet stuff at bay, and this upper uses a combination of a protected BOA retention system and a hook and loop strap to dial in the security and fit. Attached to this upper is a stiff carbon fiber reinforced nylon sole with a rubber compound that stays grippy when the temperatures plunge, and a precisely molded channel in the rubber gives the rider the option to use either flat pedals or clipless pedals. Last but not least, inside is a unique midsole structure that allows the heel section to move torsionally that will enable a riders feet to maintain mobility for improved rider comfort, fluidity, and on-bike control. Go ahead, get out on the trails and have a great time no matter what mood mother nature is in.
