Shimano SH-GE500 Mountain Bike Shoes are engineered to be very durable and provide excellent comfort and protection for the feet. Going from the ground up, Shimano’s Ultread GE rubber outsole balances long term durability with enhanced grip for a sole that delivers confident traction on pedal surfaces and and when traversing tricky hike-a-bike sections. A TORBAL 2.0 midsole features a flexible heel section that enables the heel section to move torsionally, granting a full range of motion that leads to better comfort and on-bike control. On top, an abrasion resistant canvas material with perforations is shaped around Shimano’s Volume Trail Last that provides more room in the toe and heel for better mobility off the bike, and an asymmetrical ankle opening (with a taller inner section of the ankle cuff) protects the ankle from crank and pedal strikes. Finally, shoe laces and an ankle strap provide plenty of fit adjustment keep the feet happy and secure within the shoes when it is time to send it down the trail.
