The Schwalbe Replacement Tire Studs w/ Aluminum Base utilizes a two-piece construction method to create a lighter weight replacement stud with great wear resistance. A tough tungsten carbide core fights off wear and tear and is shaped to a point for excellent penetration through slush and ice, providing safe acceleration, braking, and cornering traction in icy conditions. The aluminum base has a wide and flat shoulder for a tight fit within the tire, and the aluminum reduces rotating weight (compared to studs with a steel base) for better acceleration and an easier time going up hills.
