Schwalbe Magic Mary PRO Tubeless Mountain Tire Description:

The Schwalbe Magic Mary PRO Tubeless Mountain Tire is an evolution of one of Schwalbe’s most legendary tire models. Largely unchanged from the previous version is an open tread design with robust shoulder blocks which delivers excellent traction and cornering grip over a multitude of trail and weather conditions. From this strong performance foundation, the engineers have revamped the rubber compounds, which not only receive simpler names, those compounds provide improved damping qualities and have better grip in wet conditions than the compounds that they replace. A tubeless ready folding bead has been reinforced to protect the tire where the rim contacts it, and on gravity tires this bead area receives a special design that improves the seal with the rim so the tire is less likely to burp during hard runs. Best of all, this tire is available with two different casing options, two different tread compound options, 26″,27.5″, and 29″ wheel options, and multiple widths, so it is much easier to get the exact performance you need to have a ripping great time on the trails.

Features:

• Versatile tread pattern with strong shoulder knobs and an aggressive, open tread design that maximizes braking traction and cornering grip in a wide variety of trail and weather conditions
• V-grooves built into every tread block adds additional biting edges that grab into/onto the ground in sloppy conditions
• Ramped leading edges on the middle tread blocks reduces rolling resistance and produces a smoother ride
• Two new tread compounds have been introduced for PRO series tires:
• Ultra Soft compound has significantly better damping qualities and more tenacious grip in wet conditions than the ADDIX Ultra Soft compound that it replaces
• Soft compound is a firmer compound that also receives improvements in damping and grip compared to the ADDIX Soft compound it replaces, and is a balanced choice for comfort, traction, and longevity
• All PRO tire compounds use 100% Fair Rubber, and the Soft compound uses recycled carbon black (from Schwalbe’s in house tire recycling program) as part of Schwalbe’s sustainability efforts
• Two different casing variants are available:
• Gravity casings have 6 layers under the tread, 4 layers in the sidewall, and additional burping protection within the bead, creating a very stable tire with excellent cut, impact/pinch flat, and puncture protection
• Trail casing reduces the layers used in the construction to reduce weight and to create a smoother riding tire, but is still puncture and impact flat resistant, making this a great casing for riders that ride uphill and still want to retain the ability to fly downhill
• Either casing option has a Snake Skin fabric layer for improved cut and puncture protection, and an additional Apex layer towards the bead of the tire for enhanced stability
• Revised label on the sidewall cleans up the aesthetics and makes the tire information much easier to read and understand
• Up to 2.5″ wide tires have an E-50 E-Bike rating, and the 2.6″ and wider versions carry an E-25 E-Bike rating
