Salsa Stormchaser Apex Eagle SUS Gravel Bike Description:

The Salsa Stormchaser Apex Eagle SUS Gravel Bike is ready to rock in all trail and weather conditions. A rugged 6066-T6 aluminum frame utilizes many different frame shapes throughout to create a bike that is super stable and vertically compliant, and up front a RockShox Rudy XPLR suspension fork has 40mm of impact absorbing travel that allows a rider to fly over rough terrain. Adorning this solid foundation is a low maintenance SRAM Apex Eagle 1×12 speed mechanical drivetrain that gives the rider an enormous gear range that will allow a rider to tame any terrain. When facing a tough downhill section, the TransX dropper seatpost, flared Cowchipper Deluxe handlebars, and powerful hydraulic disc brakes add the leverage and precise bike control to make sure the journey down can be done confidently and safely.

Speaking of comfort and control, this bike comes equipped with large volume Teravail Rutland tubeless ready tires wrapped around a wide WTB/Shimano wheelset that provides excellent comfort, flat protection, and traction over any terrain. Additionally, these tires will have tubes in them straight from the box, but all the rider needs to do to switch to a tubeless set up is install the included valves and add tubeless tire sealant (sold separately), and the resulting lower tire pressures will provide added comfort, enhanced protection from flats caused by impacts, and better traction. Last but not least, a full complement of fender, rack, waterbottle, and other accessory mounts ensure the Salsa Stormchaser can be outfitted with the gear needed to be able to take you down pothole and rut-ridden gravel routes, rugged fire roads, and take on many other adventures.
