Giro Empire SLX II Road Shoes Description:

The Giro Empire SLX II Road Shoes are traditional looking road cycling shoes that utilize advanced materials and construction techniques to provide outstanding comfort and performance. Seamless, one-piece TPU monofilament mesh uppers and classic shoe laces creates exceptional breathability, security, and stability as well as wrapping the foot in a smooth, supple embrace. Inside, Giro’s Supernatural Fit System includes a footbed and Low, Medium, and High arch support chips that allows the user to customize the support and fit for better pedaling efficiency and reduced numbness, hotspots, and cramping. A forged, unidirectional carbon fiber outsole with precisely controlled orientation of the fibers, shapes, and thicknesses results in a very stiff platform that transfers all of the riders energy to the pedals, and its low stack height positions the feet close to the pedals surface for better stability. Last but not least, these shoes accept any 3-bolt clipless pedal cleats, and the ovalized cleat mounting holes give the rider more adjustability for dialing in the fit on their bike so they can maximize their performance and achieve the comfort needed to tackle any endurance riding.

• Sole has ovalized cleat mounting holes to make it easier to find the optimal cleat position for power generation and comfort, and is compatible with any 3-bolt clipless pedal cleat, including the Look Delta & KEO cleats, Shimano SPD-SL cleats, and Time ICLIC cleats (cleats are sold separately)
