The Giro Eclipse Pro Road Helmet w/ MIPS uses advanced lab, wind tunnel, and real world testing to produce a helmet with an incredible blend of aerodynamics, safety, and all-day comfort. A shape that has been optimized through computational testing and as verified by data acquired through wind tunnel and real world racing conditions produces significant aerodynamic gains over the Giro Eclipse Spherical helmets. To this aero-optimized shape, the engineers have applied a dual density EPS liner and reinforced that with an Aura II reinforcing arch to effectively spread impact energy throughout the structure, and a Spherical MIPS system will greatly reduce the torsional stresses a riders neck and head experience in an accident.

While the aerodynamics and safety are definitely important, they mean nothing if the helmet is so uncomfortable that the rider won’t wear it, so Giro made sure to carve deep grooves inside the shell and strategically place 15 vents outside to make sure plenty of cooling air is going through the helmet, and the Roc Loc 5.5 Air fit system dials in the fit around the perimeter of the head, providing all-day comfort and excellent security. Finally, soft padding with Ionic+ antimicrobial padding combined with the DryCore sweat management system eliminates pressure points and keeps the sweat away from the face so the rider has a clear view of everything that is going on around them.
