Enve SES 4.5 PRO Disc Brake Road Wheel Description:

The Enve SES 4.5 PRO Disc Brake Road Wheel was born out of a collaboration between Tadej Pogacar, the UAE Team Emirates professional cycling team, and Enve’s design team and engineers. Several updates to Enve’s SES 4.5 wheels and rims, such as using a higher modulus carbon fiber, a revised carbon fiber layup schedule, narrower and shallower rim shape, a tweaked inner channel profile, and elimination of excess material in the sidewalls reduce weight by 50 grams per rim. Unique rim shapes and dimensions for the front and rear wheels optimize the system’s aerodynamic performance by maximizing crosswind stability in the front while recapturing air flow as it passes the rear of the bike. The Wide Hookless Bead ™ provides outstanding pinch flat prevention and impact strength, and a 23.5mm inner rim width supports modern tubeless tires and adds more air volume for enhanced grip on the tarmac and a more comfortable ride quality.

Not to be overlooked, the INNERDRIVE™ PRO Straight-Pull hubs are packed with lightweight ceramic bearings that are harder and are formed with much tighter tolerances for roundness than steel bearings that results in less friction and rolling resistance. Lightweight butted straight-pull Alpina Ultralite Aero R5 stainless steel spokes with alloy locking nipples slice through the air and add a touch of ride compliance. The culmination of all of these parts is an aerodynamic, lightweight, smooth riding, and versatile wheel that will enable a rider to attack climbs faster than ever before.
