The Castelli Saturday Morning Skinsuit is designed for riders who like to be the ones setting the pace during the weekend club ride with “friends”. Through the use of computational flow dynamic (CFD) analysis, the designers at Castelli came up with a blend of fabrics, panel shapes, and seam placement to optimize the comfort and fit as well as improving the aerodynamics. Speaking of the fabric, it breaths well to keep a rider dry and at a comfortable temperature, plus there is a full length zipper that gives the rider complete control of the airflow into the speed suit. Lightly compressive fabric in the short portion prevents the fabric from moving around and provides good muscular support so the legs feel fresher throughout the ride. Inside these shorts is a Progetto X² Air Seamless Chamois that cuts down on chaffing and friction and provides all-day comfort and support. Last but not least, there are three low profile pockets in the back so you can bring along some nutritional supplements and gear for longer rides as well as a zippered pocket for stashing away ID’s, credit cards, and phones.
