Cane Creek Hellbender 70 Lite Headset Description:

The Hellbender 70 lite is a headset that uses premium materials to shave weight while maintaining excellent longevity and performance. The low-friction upper bearing seal and double-lip lower bearing seal keep out contaminants, ensuring a smoother and longer lasting bearing. Speaking of the bearings, they are aluminum and steel Hellbender LITE sealed cartridge bearings are up to 30% lighter than conventional steel bearings, and they are housed within internally machined and relieved cups. Last but not least, this headset will come with a Hellbender 70 Lite Preload Assembly that includes an alloy bolt and premium nickel plated star nut (compatible with any metal 1 1/8″ steerer tube), leaving no stone overturned to produce the ideal upgrade for any lightweight bike build.

Note: Included star nut is only compatible with steel or alloy steerer tubes. Bikes equipped with a full carbon fiber fork will need to use an expansion plug designed for carbon fiber steerer tubes (available separately).
